Introducing ‘Learn to Read’, a programme specially designed for bilingual children who speak both Russian and English. Our unique methodology makes learning to read in Russian easy and engaging, considering the specific characteristics of bilingual learners.

The program includes 8 workbooks, divided into pairs:

• ‘Class Workbook 1’ and ‘Homework Workbook 1’
• ‘Class Workbook 2’ and ‘Homework Workbook 2’
• ‘Class Workbook 3’ and ‘Homework Workbook 3’
• ‘Class Workbook 4’ and ‘Homework Workbook 4’

Programme features:

• Special letter introduction sequence: The order of learning letters is adapted for bilinguals, making the learning process easier.
• ‘Class Workbooks’ introduce new material, while ‘Homework Workbooks’ help reinforce learned knowledge.
• Each exercise in the ‘Class Workbook’ is accompanied by detailed explanations for adults, written in small print.
• The programme has been successfully used in LinguaPlay weekend Russian schools since 2012, and thousands of children have already learned to read with it.
• The programme is developed by Victoria Tyazhelnikova, an experienced educator and specialist in bilingual education.

How to use:

For best results, it is recommended to complete the exercises in the ‘Class’ and ‘Homework’ workbooks sequentially. First, learn the new material in the ‘Class Workbook,’ then reinforce it at home using the ‘Homework Workbook.’
