“Little Blue Bird”: For Beginning Readers

Many children who are just learning to read are intimidated by books with a lot of pages. That’s why this series features short stories with funny and engaging characters. These books are small in format — exactly the kind of first books children want to read.

Bright and captivating illustrations spark genuine interest, and the small amount of text on each page helps young readers feel more confident and enjoy reading.

The main characters of the books are Little Spider and Little Dog, best friends who experience situations familiar to children. This allows young readers to empathize with them and even express their own opinions or “try on” the situations themselves.

Suitable for:
• children aged 5–8 who are just starting to read and whose reading skills are not yet fully developed,
• bilingual families or children learning Russian as a second language,
• Russian-language clubs and early elementary school classes.
