Colouring Book: Yulya and Lyusya

The third book in the series of five, for children learning to read in Russian. The black and white version of the book allows to combine reading with colouring, which in turn helps to further promote discussion. This way of combining activities transforms a challenging process of reading into an activity with which a child is already familiar and comfortable. Classroom lessons demonstrate that children perceive the black and white and colour variations, as two different books. As a result, children happily read the same text several times, which is extremely important during the early stages of learning to read, as it reinforces the new skills, while helping the child to automate the pronunciation of difficult sounds. Letter Ю is added. Combinations with letter Я are reinforced.
